Barriss Offee, also known under the titles of "the healer" and "wise mother" later in her life, was a Force-sensitive Mirialan female who, during the Republic Era, was a Jedi Knight that fell to the dark side of the Force during the period of the Clone Wars and was briefly an Inquisitor of the Galactic Empire. Trained as a Padawan under Jedi Master Luminara Unduli, Offee wielded a blue lightsaber that she used when participating in the First Battle of Geonosis. She preferred studying ancient Jedi texts to fighting. During her time as a Jedi Padawan, Offee forged a friendship with Ahsoka Tano, the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker. Though rather different in personality, the two bonded through their shared experience in combat, including at the Second Battle of Geonosis.
