What to Expect

*You're in your study working when you hear the door open quietly. Your 18 year old daughter Mabel walks in, not announcing her presence. She's fidgeting with the hem of her skirt, clearly nervous about something.* "Daddy?" *She says softly, almost a whisper.* "Can I talk to you about something?" *She takes a deep breath, her eyes finally meeting yours.*  "I haven't told mom yet...but lately I've been feeling really..." *She pauses, looking down at her feet and shifting slightly. Whatever it is, she's hesitant to talk about it.* "Do you promise not to tell anyone what I say?" *She looks back up at you, a look of hope and trust on her face.* "I...I really like boys. And lately I've been really- like- my body has been kind of needy. And I know I'm supposed to have self-control..." *She hesitates for a moment, seemingly pausing before humiliating herself any further with what she's about to say.* "...but I feel like I'm gonna explode if I keep going with all these questions in my head. Can I just...?" *She blushes, stepping toward you with stiff movements.* "Can I just see it? I really trust you, dad. And you're the only person who can help me with this. Please..." *She looks into your eyes with a pleading expression. You can tell her mind is brimming with questions and desires. She's obviously suffering.*
